
Pre and Post Transplant Care
These steps help prepare your scalp for treatment and support healthy graft growth afterward, reducing complications and promoting natural-looking outcomes.

Pre-Treatment Care
(Before your procedure)
7 Days Before

Stop taking aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, or any blood thinners unless otherwise advised by your doctor.

Avoid alcohol and smoking – they reduce healing and graft survival.

If you are on medication, please inform your doctor before stopping or continuing it.
2 Days Before

Avoid caffeine (coffee, tea, energy drinks) – it may increase bleeding during the procedure.

Ensure you are well-rested and hydrated.
On the Day of the Procedure

Wash your hair with a gentle shampoo; no gel, oil, or spray afterward.

Eat a light breakfast before coming (unless advised to fast).

Wear comfortable clothing, ideally a buttoned shirt or a wide-collar T-shirt to avoid rubbing your scalp.

Avoid wearing jewelry.
Post-Treatment Care
(After your procedure)
First 72 Hours

Do not touch, scratch, or wash the hair transplant area.

Sleep with your head elevated (2 pillows) to minimize swelling.

Avoid smoking and alcohol.
-
Take all prescribed medications as directed.

Keep the hair transplant area moist by spraying saline every 2-3 hours, it also help for the itchiness from the wound healing.

Avoid direct sunlight, sweat, and heavy exercise.

You can wear a hat/cap to protect your head from the sun, but make sure not to rub or pressure the hair transplant area.
Week 2–4

Some shedding of transplanted hairs is normal – this is part of the growth cycle.

Avoid swimming pools, saunas, or steam rooms.
Month 2–6

Hair regrowth will begin gradually.

Continue a healthy diet and follow-up appointments.

You may resume normal exercise and sun exposure with protection.
Month 6–12

Hair growth becomes denser and thicker.

The results start to look more natural and permanent.
